You don't need to be engaged, celebrating an anniversary, or have any particular milestone on the calendar to have photos taken together. A couples session is simply a chance to document the two of you and what your relationship feels like in this season of your life. Think of it less like a photoshoot and more like a really good date that I happen to be tagging along for. We can grab coffee at your favorite spot, cook dinner at home, wander around your neighborhood, head into the mountains, revisit the place where you first met, or dream up something completely different together. I'll give you plenty of direction so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands, while leaving room for the laughter, affection, inside jokes, and little ways you naturally interact to take over. And if you are newly engaged, this is a perfect way to celebrate it (and yes, get some great save-the-date photos while we're at it). But more than anything, it's an excuse to slow down, be together, and have photographs that remind you what being you two felt like right now.

Proposal
A proposal is one of those rare moments you only get to experience once—and one that can feel like a complete blur while it's happening. My job is to make sure you can come back to it later: the nerves beforehand, the moment they realize what's happening, the question, the reaction, and everything that comes immediately after. I'll also help you figure out the details ahead of time so you don't have to navigate it all on your own. We'll work together to choose the right location, timing, lighting, and exactly where you should be so I can photograph the moment discreetly without giving away the surprise. After the big moment, we'll spend some time taking portraits together while you soak in that just-engaged feeling.

Microweddings & Elopements
Your wedding doesn't have to be big to be deeply meaningful. Maybe it's just the two of you exchanging vows somewhere beautiful, a backyard ceremony surrounded by your closest people, dinner at your favorite restaurant afterward, or a small celebration that borrows a few traditions and skips the rest. Micro weddings and elopements give you the freedom to create a day that feels entirely like your own. With fewer moving pieces and a smaller guest list, there's often more room to slow down and actually experience the day as it's happening. My approach is to document it as it unfolds—the nervous excitement beforehand, the people you love gathering around you, the little looks between the two of you, the hugs after the ceremony, the details you thoughtfully chose, and all the moments you couldn't possibly see for yourself. Of course, I'll step in with guidance when you need it and make space for the portraits and family photos that matter to you. But most of the time, I want you focused on getting married and being with your people—not performing for my camera. Whether you're planning an elopement with just the two of you or an intimate celebration with your closest family and friends, we'll create photography coverage around the day you actually want to have.
However you choose to get married, you should be able to look back and remember not only what it looked like, but how it felt to be there.
Special Events
You get to put your phone away, enjoy your people, and trust that the story of the day is being documented.
Some days are simply worth having someone else hold the camera. Baby and bridal showers, birthday and anniversary parties, family reunions, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, graduation celebrations—or any gathering that brings your favorite people together. My approach to events is relaxed and observant, documenting the celebration as it naturally unfolds so you can actually be part of it. I'll capture the hugs, conversations, laughter, little interactions, and thoughtful details you might otherwise miss, along with a mix of group photos and classic portraits of the people who matter to you. You get to put your phone away, enjoy your people, and trust that the story of the day is being documented. My photography is rooted in natural light, so event coverage is best suited to daytime celebrations, outdoor gatherings, and indoor spaces with plenty of beautiful available light.

Let's have fun! I'll give plenty of gentle direction when you need it, but mostly, your job is to be present with your people. Fair warning: there may be belly laughs.

Within two weeks, your edited images will land in a private online gallery, ready to download, share, print, and come back to again and again.
FAQ
What should I wear?
Once you book, you'll receive my Client Experience Guide with plenty of styling tips and everything you need to know before your session. I'll also check in about what you're thinking of wearing. At the end of the day, I want you to wear something that feels like you — comfortable, confident, and like your best, most authentic self.
What happens if it rains?
Cloudy skies are totally fine! Overcast days can actually give us beautiful, flattering light — and Colorado has a way of surprising us with an incredible sunset when we least expect it. If the forecast calls for significant rain, we'll reschedule.
Can we include our pets?
Absolutely! If they're part of your family, they're welcome in your photos. In-home sessions make including pets especially easy, but you're also welcome to bring them along to an outdoor session when the location allows.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you start thinking, I want to do this! Ideally, reach out at least a month before your preferred timeframe. But whether you're dreaming about something six months from now or two weeks away, it never hurts to reach out.
How does choosing an outdoor location work?
I'll start by asking if you already have a location in mind. If not, I'll ask what you're drawn to, consider who's coming and the season, and send you a few options to choose from. Rather not make another decision? I'm happy to pick for you.
When will I receive my photos?
Most galleries are delivered within two weeks of your session. Micro-weddings, elopements, and special events are delivered within three weeks.
